Welcome to Chaceley Village Website
Chaceley is a small, picturesque village nestling on the western bank of the River Severn in north Gloucestershire around five miles across the river from the historic Cotswold town of Tewkesbury, site of the famous War of the Roses battle in 1471. Re-enacted brilliantly every July as part of the renowned Tewkesbury Medieval Festival (www.tewkesburymedievalfestival.co.uk).
The village comprises approximately one hundred inhabitants, a Grade II listed Church - St John The Baptist, a quaint village hall, a sailing club and a riverside pub - The Yew Tree Inn.
An initiative of the Chaceley Village Hall Charity, this community website provides information about the main features of the village, its history, its location, useful local services, anecdotes and important residents’ information relating to flood management.
